About the Role:

6 Brick's is looking for a Retail Manager who can own the store.

This is a single-location dispensary with high daily customer volume, and the Retail Manager runs it. You will lead the full team, hold people accountable, keep inventory accurate, protect compliance, and build the kind of customer experience that brings Springfield back through the door.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a family-owned business with real structure behind it: documented procedures, clear standards, and an owner who is close to the work. If you want to run a store, develop a team, and grow a cannabis career, this is a strong seat.

What You'll Own

Store leadership

• Lead daily operations, including opening and closing standards
• Supervise and direct the retail team, including Team Leads
• Interview, hire, train and develop hourly staff
• Conduct 30, 60 and 90-day reviews for every employee
• Build and manage schedules and shift coverage

Employee accountability

• Coach employees directly and document performance concerns
• Issue verbal, written and final warnings and follow through on them
• Manage attendance and conduct issues consistently
• Make recommendations on discipline, termination and advancement
• Hold longer-tenured employees to the same standard as new hires

Inventory and compliance

• Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counts and audits
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Maintain compliance with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulations
• Support CCC inspections, audits and documentation
• Oversee security procedures and incident reporting

Financial and business performance

• Manage cash handling procedures, reconciliation and daily deposits
• Track monthly results and trends for business forecasting
• Own store KPIs and use them to improve performance
• Maintain accurate financial records and operational reporting

Customer and product

• Resolve escalated customer complaints
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the store, plus industry trends
• Partner with the team on product education and responsible use
• Work with the company's COO on marketing, promotions and operational reporting

What We're Looking For

Required

• Must be 21 years or older
• Must pass all state-required background checks and CCC badging
• Experience managing a retail location or serving as a strong second-in-command with real ownership
• Demonstrated, hands-on employee accountability experience. You should be able to walk us through a real performance situation from first conversation through documentation to outcome
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Comfort adopting new software and evolving technology

Strongly preferred

• Cannabis retail management experience
• Hands-on METRC experience
• Dutchie POS and Dutchie Backoffice experience
• Direct experience with Massachusetts cannabis regulations and CCC requirements
• Experience in another highly regulated retail environment (pharmacy, liquor, OSHA-regulated operations)
• Bachelor's degree, preferred but not required
