As the Director of Operations, you would play a pivotal role in supporting the operations of C4VL, overseeing the smooth functioning of the business. The Director of Operations works closely with the clinical leadership and administrative teams to collaborate on operational processes to assist the functioning of clinical services in alignment with the company’s mission. With the leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational processes, fostering a positive work culture, and driving the strategic growth and development of the practice.

The Center for Valued Living, PLLC (C4VL), a Colorado-based mental health private practice, is dedicated to providing accessible, insurance-based mental health care to diverse clients across Colorado and beyond, with a focus on underserved and underrepresented populations. We serve individuals aged 3 and up, using anti-racist, neurodivergent-affirming, and queer-allied principles to create a powerfully reparative and healing environment. Through a collaborative team approach, we aim to positively impact clients' holistic well-being and equip them with skills for lasting success in their personal and professional lives. The Director of Operations plays a huge role in the success of this mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
    • Oversee, streamline, and manage operations of the practice, working closely with others in the Leadership team to ensure efficiency of operations and clinical needs are being adequately met in compliance with regulatory and industry standards
    • Develop, implement, manage, and refine operational policies, procedures (SOPs), and best practices that optimize productivity and quality of service across all sites.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and guide implementation of new or updated strategies and organizational processes 
  • Human Resources Support
    • Develop and oversee implementation of processes for hiring and onboarding clinical and administrative staff in line with organizational values and needs
    • In collaboration with leadership team, foster a positive work culture, obtain feedback from employees, and develop strategies to hire and retain talent
    • Oversee performance evaluations and work with leadership team to support employees’ professional development needs, adequate raises, and other supports for employees
  • Strategic Planning and Growth
    • Collaborate with leadership team to develop and execute established short- and long-term strategic plans to drive the growth and expansion of the practice
    • Identify opportunities for new services, partnerships, and community outreach initiatives to enhance the practices’ visibility and impact, with CEO
    • Identify and monitor areas to improve provider and client satisfaction and oversee processes for this improvement
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance
    • With clinical leadership, ensure compliance with relevant local, state and federal laws and regulations
    • Monitor internal quality assurance programs/audits to maintain high standards of care and service delivery and address areas of non-compliance and improvement
    • Collect, analyze, and report program data, including patient outcomes and satisfaction measures.
    • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and funding sources
  •  Financials Support
    • Consult with Financial Director in the development and management of the practice’s budget and allocation of resources, for organizational financial sustainability and profitability
    • Implement hiring and marketing strategies to optimize financial outcomes
    • In collaboration with Financial Director and billing company, oversee processes related to billing, collections, and reimbursement to ensure accurate and timely revenue collection

Hours: 20  hours per week, hybrid remote and in-person in either Aurora or Denver

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration (or related field) and 3+ years of professional operational support in a healthcare setting (mental health preferred) *OR* Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of operational support in healthcare (mental health preferred).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and teams with efficiency.
  • Experience in strategic planning and business development.
  • Commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion, with alignment to the company's mission of anti-racist, queer-allied, and neurodivergent-affirming practices.
  • Proven experience in scaling operations, business development and strategic planning/ business growth. Demonstrated strong analytical, quantitative and logical thinking skills. 
  • An open, honest, thoughtful, professional, and validating communication style with the ability to self-reflect and correct when provided feedback by others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of mental health regulations, ethics, clinical best practices.
  • Strong understanding of insurance credentialing, contracting, benefits, coding, etc.
  • Individuals with lived experience from traditionally marginalized communities or extensive training in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion are encouraged to apply.
  • Bilingual or multilingual individuals, especially especially those who speak English/Spanish, are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior P&L management experience. Demonstrated track record of successful fiscal and operating leadership
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software, data analysis tools, and strategic planning, with experience in scaling operations.

COMPENSATION
$50-$60/hr for 20 hours of work per week

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
