GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Sponsor Relationship Manager (SRM) is the conduit between the core
Sponsor group and the Credit Union leadership. The individual will commit themselves to the
mission, vision, and values of both the Sponsor and the Credit Union to create synchronicity and
bolster a strong partnership between the Sponsor and the Credit Union. The SRM is responsible for
executing the sales and marketing programs for core Sponsor relationships within the Credit Union.
This includes guiding leadership throughout the Credit Union on verbiage on products, services, and
events to align with the Sponsor and their employees.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in client relationship management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% in Houston and nationally. 
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; excellent written and verbal communication in English; basic math skills; moderate keyboard skills at 40 wpm.
  • Personal Attributes: High integrity, responsibility, quick learning ability, adaptability, initiative, self-direction, and effective communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Extensive computer use (up to eight hours per day), with occasional light physical activities.

Role Overview & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between Chevron Federal Credit Union and Chevron.
  • Serve as the main contact for sponsors, focusing on sales targets, territory analysis, and business plan revisions.
  • Lead seminars, webinars, conference calls, and organize sales meetings with detailed agendas, ensuring follow-up on commitments.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Primary contact for the Credit Union Sponsor.
  • Develop trusted relationships with sponsors, client stakeholders, and internal partners.
  • Prepare growth forecasts for membership, deposit, and loan portfolios.
  • Lead or coordinate sponsor-focused seminars, webinars, and calls.
  • Set sales meetings, prepare agendas, and follow through on commitments.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in corporate/sponsor relations within financial services.
  • Proficiency in client assessments, forecasting, presentations, and executing sales strategies.
  • Strong executive presence, leadership abilities, and a background in corporate relationship management and marketing.

Challenges & Specifics:

  • Remote role with up to 25% travel nationally, including the Greater Houston area.
  • Travel expectation: approximately 1 week per month for the first 12-18 months.
  • Direct credit union experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
