Job Description

"RFMX is seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Executive to join their team. This position is pivotal to their growth within the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, developing marketing strategies, making cold and warm calls to prospective customers, meeting with prospective customers in and around Denver, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and business growth."

Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Marketing Strategy: Execute and co-develop all aspects of the sales and marketing strategy effectively ensuring alignment with business goals and driving measurable results. Marketing experience is a plus.
  • Target Development: Identify and develop a number of daily targets to secure necessary meetings and generate business leads.
  • Quota Management: Understand and meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales quotas.
  • Profit Margin Understanding: Maintain an understanding of the gross profit margin necessary to support sales efforts.
  • Lead Generation: Develop comprehensive strategies to find leads and target markets in sectors including home materials, construction materials, solar and wind technology, air freight preparation, retail, grocery and chemicals.
  • KPI Review: Review and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) during weekly sales meetings. KPIs include call schedules, lead contacts, meetings, revenue per load, and other relevant metrics.
  • Credit Policies Adherence: Ensure adherence to established credit policies.
  • Sales Documentation: Maintain documentation for all sales prospects and adhere to company policies regarding minimum gross profit on all bids.
  • Customer Communication: Ensure high levels of communication with prospective and current customers to meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with VP of Ops, CFO, and GM on pricing and marketing strategies.
  • Professional Development: Attend trade shows, seminars, and meetings to enhance professional knowledge and promote the company.
  • Technical Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of the business, products, and services.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Ops. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with additional marketing experience being highly desirable.
  • Must have sales experience in logistics, and transportation. 
  • Skills: Strong communication, grammar proficiency, writing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Professional Associations: Membership and active participation in relevant professional trade associations such as CMCA and DTC.

Compensation:

  • Total Compensation Expected: $125k+ with no cap (base / commission mix)
  • Ramp-Up Period: The first 6 months include a guaranteed minimum income to support initial ramp-up.
  • Draw Repayment: The draw is repaid from future commissions over a specified period.
