Compensation- $25-$30/hour depending on experience.

This position is located in Springfield, CO. There are relocation packages and corporate housing options available.

 

Position Summary

We are a growing Hemp Processor looking for an experienced, self-motivated individual to join our rapidly expanding team as a Boiler Operator. The Boiler Operator operates and monitors boilers to ensure they function safely and efficiently. The Boiler Operator performs frequent inspection checks and regular maintenance on boiler systems, related valves, gauges, piping and other equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor & Maintain Boilers- Perform frequent inspection checks and regular maintenance on boiler systems, related valves, gauges, piping and other equipment.
  • Inspect Fluids- Constantly inspect water, gas and other fluid levels inside boilers and related equipment, making adjustments to fluids as necessary to keep systems operating at peak levels.
  • Repair Boiler Machinery- Repair piping, valves and other boiler machinery as necessary.
  • Replace Boiler Parts- Replace defective valves, gauges and other boiler parts as needed.
  • Record Daily Readings- Record and interpret daily gaas readings, feed water tests and other test results.
  • Adjust Equipment- Adjust valves and boiler controls as needed to control the amount of pressure in the system and keep the boiler system functioning safely.
  • Maintain Cleanliness- Keep all boiler rooms, related workstations organized and clean at all times.
  • Adhere to all company and site-specific safety/PPE requirements and codes of conduct.

Requirements

  • 5 years or more experience operating and maintaining an industrial scale boiler/steam system (>250BHP). Experience with Superior Boiler Equipment is a major plus.
  • Experience with gas-fired hot oil systems is a major plus.
  • Familiarity and experience with an industrial scale LNG re-gasification system is a major plus.
  • Certification by ASME, NAPE or equivalent regulatory organization.
  • Experience with OSHA General Industry guidance as identified in 21CFR-1910. Training certification preferred.
  • Lock Out/Tag Out certification.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs overhead regularly.
  • Self-driven and the ability to use critical thinking to persevere through complex challenges.
